The experience

This full-day hike pairs the historic Pilgrim's Path with the immense coastal landscape of Slieve League. The route climbs steadily from the lower slopes into open mountain ground, where Atlantic views unfold across cliffs, headlands and the Donegal coast. Steep gradients, rocky sections and changeable underfoot conditions make this a rewarding day for walkers who already feel comfortable in the hills. The guide will adapt the exact line and pace to the weather, ground conditions and the needs of the group. Times and route details shown here are indicative and will be confirmed before departure.

Mixed: road, steps, muddy, grassy, soft and wet ground.

Fitness: Good cardiovascular fitness, confidence on steep and uneven ground, and previous hillwalking experience are required.
